Watsonville
2 1/2 miles inland. This is an agricultural town with many well-preserved homes.

Moss Landing
7 miles south. An old-style fishing town where antique stores abound.

Capitola
7 miles north. A quaint beach village filled with interesting shops and restaurants.

San Juan Bautista
15 miles inland. Offers museums, walking tours, and some excellent restaurants.

Santa Cruz
20 miles north. A fun capital since the 19th century. The amusement park and boardwalk are still delights for the young and the young at heart. Well-known for surfing, live theatre, and music.

Monterey
26 miles south. The Old Spanish capital of Alta California. Has many handsome colonial buildings open to visitors. Fisherman’s Wharf and Cannery Row, immortalized by John Steinbeck, are located here.

Pebble Beach
26 miles south. The Del Monte Forest is a fabulous enclave of grand homes, famous golf courses and the celebrated 17 Mile Drive that threads its way through the pines and along the spectacular beaches and rocky headlands.

Carmel
30 miles south. Once a Bohemian artist colony, it still has a special aura known as “Carmel Charm”. Filled with many wonderful shops, galleries, and restaurants.
